Jay Severin was actually bragging on Wednesday afternoon about how close his guess of 340 electoral votes for Barack Obama had been. He seemed to think his prediction was the closest of any TV or radio pundit. I corrected him on the air, pointing out that Eleanor Clift, among others, had guessed 349 – which at the time was dead on.
Now Obama has been awarded the electoral votes from North Carolina as well, giving him 364, with Missouri still undeclared.
See The Huffington Post for a long list of pundit predictions. At the moment, it looks like George Stephanopoulos was the most accurate among the household-name pickers.
