Jay Severin called my idea brilliant

I was on the air at approximately 3:40 this afternoon and asked Jay Severin to put on his political hat and give me his opinion on this suggestion: Barack Obama should veto the stimulus package as passed by the House, saying “I made it clear in my campaign that we have to move beyond partisan fighting. Go back and work until you can come up with a bill that accomplishes the goals I put forth and has strong bipartisan support.”

Jay said that it probably wouldn’t happen, but he did call the idea “brilliant.”

Jay then reverted to his usual ignorance, saying it would be a good idea to stimulate the economy by doing things like suspending Federal income taxes for a year or handing everyone a check for $1,000,000. But it was fun while it lasted.
