I used to listen and call in because I was concerned about the impact that Jay’s words were having on his audience. For a while, I thought I could do something about it. I’ve now realized it’s hopeless for me. See my post on July 30.

Lock, you are so right!! All Jay, and the rest of the cast of characters want are money and listeners. But….they are talk show hosts, that is what they are supposed to do, get listeners fired up then they call in then they get ratings then they make more money. What a beautiful idea,eh?
What I don’t understand is, if you don’t like Jay, and in your “opinion” he lies, why do you listen? Reach over and turn the channel. I do not understand you people. Talk radio is all about getting people fired up. Not a very hard concept to understand. It’s like Howard Stern said before, he has more listeners that hate him than like him. Just turn the radio off!!!

I just wanted to add my comment. I first heard Jay 2 years ago while driving up to Ma from Florida….well, I guess the radio station was just “on” WTKK…and when I heard him I thought he was joking…so I kept listening – wondering when the joke was going to end. But, he continues with his abrasive talking and insulting whomever he likes….He still continues with his disgusting remarks…Someone said they thought he had a “mental problem”….??? Ya Think? I too have written to the radio station and to JAY himself. I wonder why this radio station keeps him on the air? Meanwhile “Jay” (real name)? continues to play games with Boston’s “Best and Brightest”…(he only talks to them you know)! Just change the station…

Jim, no one ever claimed that the total tax burden across all levels of government would be in the 10% range. The point of this post is that (a) federal tax rates are at historic lows right now, and (b) federal income tax rates for the median-income family of four are in the 10% range. Would you care to post your actual Gross Income, Adjusted Gross Income, and Total Federal Income Tax for 2009 as a check on the accuracy of claim (b)?
